Exercises & reflection guide
Exercises are in beta: open a client's chart and click the Exercises tab to assign them. The page carries a "Beta feature" notice — the workflow and client delivery are still being refined, so expect changes. Client completion happens in the companion mobile experience, which is still rolling out.
In this guide, we'll cover:
What exercises are
Exercises are structured between-session homework you assign to a client — from a catalog of pre-built techniques (breathing, grounding, CBT, DBT, journaling, meditation) or as custom guided-audio exercises you create.
The custom builder is the standout: a four-step flow (Configure → Script → Audio → Save) that starts from a template — Safe Place Visualization, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Sleep Wind-Down, and more — generates a personalized script with AI (optionally weaving in themes from the client's recent sessions), and turns it into a narrated audio track in your choice of voice. The result is a guided meditation made for this client, not a generic recording.
How assignment works
Assignments carry a frequency, a target number of completions, an optional due date, and a note to the client. Assigning sends the client a push notification in the companion app, where they complete the exercise. Each completion flows back to the chart with before-and-after mood ratings and time spent, so you can see between sessions whether the practice is landing.
The reflection guide
The Reflection Guide is an AI-guided conversation tool — voice or text — for structured reflection, run from within the app with a selected client. It's explicitly a reflection aid, not treatment: "It is not a replacement for professional therapy."
